ISPOR Regional Consortia

An ISPOR Consortium, a regional group within the organizational structure of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), consists of ISPOR Chapters in the region as well as individuals interested in the science of pharmacoeconomics (health economics) and outcomes research and its use in health care decisions in a geographic region, including the use of health technology assessment in the pharmaceutical, biological and medical device and diagnostic arenas.

The mission of an ISPOR Consortium, consistent with the mission of the Society, is to advance the science of pharmacoeconomics (health economics) and outcomes research (the scientific discipline that evaluates the effect of health care interventions on patient well-being including clinical outcomes, economic outcomes, and patient-reported outcomes) in a geographic region, and to facilitate the translation of this research into useful information for health care decision-makers to ensure that society allocates scarce health care resources wisely, fairly, and efficiently.
