Member Groups

Special interest groups seek to advance health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) and its use in healthcare decision making. These groups also develop valuable tools and resources for the field. Special interest groups are open exclusively to ISPOR members.

Task forces develop ISPOR’s Good Practices Reports, which are highly cited expert consensus guidance recommendations that set international good practice standards for health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) and on the use of this research in healthcare decision making. All Good Practices Reports are published in the Society’s scientific journal, Value in Health, and are made freely available as part of the Society’s mission.

Councils serve as advisory bodies to the ISPOR Board of Directors. Roundtables provide a platform for healthcare stakeholders to interact and engage in discussion on key issues.

Global engagement groups promote regional development of the HEOR discipline in support of the Society’s mission. Global groups include the Asia Consortium, Central and Eastern Europe Consortium, Latin America Consortium, Africa Network, Arabic Network, and more than 70 regional chapters around the world.

The Student Network is comprised of an engaged group of PhD, PharmD, masters, and other students around the world who have a passion for excellence in health economics and outcomes research.

The New Professionals Network supports the development of future leaders in HEOR. The network is available to former student members and to new members who are recent graduates of HEOR-related programs with 3 years or less experience in the field.

Online communities provide an interactive resource for ISPOR members to connect around the world. Communities offer members the opportunity to engage in conversation, contribute resources, share experiences, learn about volunteer opportunities, and provide HEOR content.
