Assessing the Value of Remote Patient Monitoring Solutions in Addressing Challenges in Patient Care [Editor's Choice]

Abstract

The use of digital health to improve patient outcomes and patient and provider satisfaction has risen in recent years. Digital health can be defined as “the proper use of technology for improving the health and wellbeing of people at individual and population levels, as well as enhancing the care of patients through intelligent processing of clinical and genetic data.” Embracing digital health solutions to address current challenges in healthcare affords the opportunity to increase efficiencies and improve the quality of care, while minimizing the burden on patients and healthcare professionals alike.
