OBJECTIVES: The International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) organizes International, European, Latin-American and Asia-Pacific conferences and meetings. The aim of this study is to analyse the outcome of ISPOR conferences.
METHODS: We analysed all conference abstracts presented at ISPOR congresses and meetings and published in the Value in Health journal between 2002-2024. Data were derived from Value in Health journal through the Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics) electronic database of scientific publications. We identified the most active countries, public institutions (universities) and authors according to the number of abstracts.
RESULTS: Analysis covered 67,055 abstracts presented at 54 ISPOR conferences (including virtual conferences) compiled by 94,634 authors from 148 countries/regions. The TOP-10 most active countries: USA (27,946 abstracts), England (11,972), France (4,647), Germany (4179), Canada (3,968), Netherlands (3,125), Spain (2,985), Switzerland (2,909), Italy (2,359), Brazil (2,196). The TOP-10 most active universities: University of Pécs, Hungary (1,007 abstracts), University of Texas System, USA (799), Harvard University, USA (701), University of Washington, USA (657), University of London, UK (645), Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands (621), University of York, UK (587), University of Southern California, USA (584), University System of Ohio, USA (582), University of California System, USA (563). The most active 10 authors: Boncz I (Univ Pécs, Hungary, 865 abstracts), Toumi M (Creativ Ceut, France, 473), Baser O (Columbia Univ, USA, 335), Endrei D (Univ Pécs, 319), Molics B (Univ Pécs, 294), Csákvári T (Univ Pécs, 251), Sebestyén A (Univ Pécs, 244), Zhang Y (Bristol Myers Squibb, Princeton, USA; 238), Wang Y (Chapman Univ, Irvine, USA; 236), Postma MJ (Univ Groningen, Netherlands; 223).
CONCLUSIONS: Among TOP-10 most active universities we found 5 North-American and 5 European institutions. Among TOP-10 most active authors we found 3 North-American and 7 European Colleagues.
