The Austria Center Vienna (ACV) is Austria’s largest conference and event center, located next to the United Nations headquarters in Vienna’s modern Donau City district. Getting There

The Austria Center Vienna is just seven minutes from the historic city center and is easily accessible by public transportation. The venue is directly connected to the “Kaisermühlen–Vienna International Centre” station on the metro line U1, which runs frequently and links to central Vienna in minutes. Trams, buses, and taxis also provide convenient access throughout the city. Visitors can purchase a Vienna City Card for unlimited use of public transportation, including metro, tram, and bus, during their stay.

Airport Information

Vienna International Airport (Flughafen Wien-Schwechat, VIE) is located about 18 km southeast of the city center and is Austria’s busiest airport. It offers direct flights to major international destinations and handles more than 30 million passengers annually. Travelers can easily reach the city center and the Austria Center Vienna via the City Airport Train (CAT) in just 16 minutes, the S-Bahn suburban railway, airport buses, or taxis. Each option provides straightforward access to the venue, allowing visitors to choose the most convenient method based on their schedule and budget.

Transportation options from the airport to the venue include the following:

  • Taxi:
    • Taxi service is available at Vienna International Airport. Travel time to the Austria Center Vienna is approximately 25–30 minutes, depending on traffic.
  • Metro (U-Bahn):
    • The Austria Center Vienna is directly connected to the Kaisermühlen–Vienna International Centre station (U1 line). From the city center (Stephansplatz), the U1 metro line takes about 7 minutes.
  • Buses:
    • The Vienna Airport Lines buses connect the airport with various parts of the city, including Donauzentrum, which is close to the Austria Center Vienna. Travel time is approximately 30–40 minutes, depending on the route.
  • Train (S-Bahn):
    • The S7 S-Bahn suburban railway connects Vienna International Airport with the city center (Wien Mitte station) in about 25 minutes. From Wien Mitte, transfer to the U1 metro line to reach Kaisermühlen–Vienna International Centre station for direct access to the venue.
  • City Airport Train (CAT):
    • The City Airport Train offers a non-stop connection between Vienna International Airport and Wien Mitte station in just 16 minutes. From Wien Mitte, take the U1 metro line directly to Kaisermühlen–Vienna International Centre station.
