OBJECTIVES: The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) continues to grow with advances in health economics and outcomes research. Since 2000, posters arising from Turkiye-based studies continue to be published within ISPOR. The aim of the study is to analyze the trend of the disease, subject and subject subcategories of Turkiye-based studies presented at ISPOR meetings.
METHODS: ISPOR online database was used to access Turkiye-based poster works. Posters presented in 2000-2022 were included in the analysis. The descriptive analysis of the published posters was performed via transferring the accessed studies to Microsoft Excel and grouping them according to years, diseases, subjects and subject subcategories.
RESULTS: A total of 469 studies originating from Turkiye were accessed. 13.01% (61) of the studies were presented in 2015. After 2015, a decreasing trend was observed in studies originating from Turkiye. 17.47% (87) of the studies accessed are in the category of multiple diseases, and 13.25% (66) are in the category of cardiovascular diseases. While the most studies were carried out in the multi-disease category between 2013-2018, it has been observed that there has been a significant decrease in studies in this field the in recent years. In the analysis, it was observed that 279 studies were carried out in the field of economic evaluation that belongs to the subject category and 117 studies were in the field of benefit analysis in the subjects subcategory.
CONCLUSIONS: Most of the posters made in Turkiye consist of multiple disease studies. The most commonly used analysis methods are economical evaluation and benefit analysis methods.
