ISPOR Announces New Chief Financial Officer

Kate Tarpey Appointed to Serve in New Position for the Organization

Lawrenceville, NJ, USA—February 4, 2025—ISPOR—The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research announced today that Kate Tarpey has been appointed as chief financial officer for the Society. This is a new position at ISPOR and speaks to the growth of both the Society and the increasing role of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) in healthcare.

Ms Tarpey comes to ISPOR with more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit financial operations management. Most recently, she served as chief financial officer for Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, Inc. Previously, she has worked for education and nonprofit organizations in finance and operational roles. She also serves as an adjunct instructor at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wi, USA.

“We are very excited to have Kate join ISPOR in this critically important role,” stated ISPOR’s CEO and Executive Director, Rob Abbott. “Kate brings significant experience to our organization, both in finance and in the nonprofit realm.
