ISPOR) announced confirmation of key scientific sessions for its
7th Asia-Pacific Conference scheduled to begin next week, 3-6 September 2016 in Singapore. The conference will feature three, topical plenary sessions focused on the theme, “
Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research in Asia-Pacific: Challenges, Opportunities, and Future Direction.”
Plenary #1: Health Technology Assessment and Health Policy: Recent Developments Across Asia

This session will explore how health technology assessment (HTA) is becoming essential to help inform evidence-based decisions as health systems in Asia undergo rapid change while struggling to cope with immediate challenges, including the expanding elderly populations, the growing demand for high-quality health care, and the need to address inequitable access to health care. This session will provide insight into the current status of HTA and related health policy in Asia, sharing perspectives and experiences, lessons learned, and future trends.
