Lawrenceville, NJ, USA—April 28, 2020—ISPOR—The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research—announced that it has posted a COVID-19 News webpage to provide members and other healthcare stakeholders with information and resources related to the COVID-19 virus, curating content that intersects with health economics and outcomes research (HEOR).
ISPOR’s COVID-19 News aggregates a selection of related content of interest to HEOR professionals and others in healthcare. The news page includes general information sites, news sites, and academic organization and journal resources, in addition to ISPOR-created content.
The ISPOR-created content will grow as the Society develops additional publications and resources related to COVID-19. This section currently features a number of newly published articles from Value & Outcomes Spotlight, the Society’s news publication for the HEOR community. This section also includes Virtual Collections of peer-reviewed articles focusing on Viruses and Vaccines from the Society’s journals Value in Health and Value in Health Regional Issues. In addition, ISPOR recently announced “HEOR in the Era of COVID-19”—a plenary session discussing HEOR insights and perspectives on the evolving pandemic, well as the implications for short- and long-term healthcare decisions. This session is being offered free to all and is scheduled to take place on May 14th as a preconference session to the Society’s Virtual ISPOR 2020 annual conference.
“ISPOR’s members have been actively working on COVID-19-related issues since the early stages of this pandemic,” noted ISPOR CEO and Executive Director, Nancy S. Berg. “This content is designed to provide the HEOR community with key information and resources and to highlight notable work in the field.”
