Health Technology Assessment Updates in Austria Symposium and General Assembly Meeting
Tuesday, 15 December 2020 at 14:00-17:00 CET
ISPOR Austria Chapter cordially invites you to this year’s General Assembly meeting, to be held online. As we do every year, to get warmed up, we will begin with a Symposium. This year we welcome Ingrid Zechmeister-Koss (AIHTA), Herwig Ostermann (GÖG), and Ingrid Wilbacher (DVSV) to speak about current and future HTA activities within their organizations. These organizations are currently the biggest players in HTA in Austria. This year, the Ministry agreed on targets for healthcare including a plan to further integrate HTA into the Austrian healthcare system. We will be discussing what the organizations are doing currently and what the implications of these targets are on each organization. To register and receive a calendar invite, please send us an e-mail. Noemi.Kiss(at)oegk.at

News from ISPOR Austria Chapter
June 2017
The chapter's main goals are to increase the provision of health economics and outcomes research evidence and its use in health policy decision making in Austria and to provide opportunities for cooperation both within the Austrian Community and with international partners. The Chapter will facilitate the interaction and understanding between healthcare researchers, healthcare providers, patients and consumers, pharmaceutical and device companies, and healthcare decision makers interested in research related to Austria in clinical effectiveness, pharmacoeconomics/cost-effectiveness, healthcare systems and health services and outcomes research, by providing a platform for exchanging ideas and establishing collaboration.
The Austria Chapter is planning to establish collaborations with other ISPOR regional chapters, and will organize regular scientific, educational, and policy impact meetings and events in Vienna and at ISPOR conferences aiming at exchanging experiences and information about the Austrian healthcare system and fostering scientific and educational activities among the members in order to develop the Austrian healthcare system further in this respect.
Furthermore, the chapter seeks to present and publish the results of collaborative efforts to reach a wider audience. The chapter will inform on local educational activities and organize seminars and workshops on selected topics. We are looking forward to welcoming new members and collaborators with an interest in HEOR topics in Austria.
The ISPOR Austria Chapter will hold its first chapter meeting at the ISPOR Europe 2018 conference in Glasgow.
