Strengthen Your Professional Impact in HEOR Through Relationship-Building and Communication

Early in their careers, many health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) professionals focus on developing strong technical expertise. While this foundation is important, many senior leaders later reflect that they neglected to build relationship-building and communication skills alongside their technical abilities. Professionals who intentionally develop influence, networking, and scientific communication skills often progress faster, navigate multistakeholder environments more effectively, and unlock broader career opportunities.

This course explores why professional relationships and people skills matter from the beginning of an HEOR career—not only in leadership roles. Participants will examine how strengthening communication, networking, and influence can help them increase their impact and long-term value in the field.

Technical Topics Include:

• Why influence, professional relationships, and networking matter early in HEOR careers
• The role of effective communication and scientific storytelling in career advancement
• Common challenges navigating multistakeholder environments
• Strategies for strengthening both technical and non-technical professional skills

This Course Includes Practical Tools and Concepts That Can Be Immediately Applied, Including:

• Approaches for building and maintaining professional relationships
• Techniques for improving communication and scientific storytelling
• Strategies for expanding professional networks within HEOR
• Practical steps for developing skills that support long-term career growth
