Apply prompt engineering to enhance HEOR workflows
This course introduces prompt engineering as a critical skill for health economists and outcomes researchers. It focuses on designing effective inputs for generative AI to improve productivity, accuracy, and innovation in HEOR applications.
Technical topics include:
- Core principles of prompt engineering
- Strategies for interacting with large language models (LLMs)
- Best practices for accuracy, consistency, and reliability
- Common pitfalls and limitations in high-stakes environments
This course includes tools and concepts that can be immediately applied, including:
- Hands-on prompt techniques for systematic literature reviews (SLRs)
- Applications in economic modeling and real-world evidence generation
- Practical examples tailored to HEOR use cases
- Guidance for using prompt engineering in regulated settings
Participants will gain the knowledge and skills to confidently apply prompt engineering techniques to improve efficiency and quality in HEOR research.
PREREQUISITE: Basic knowledge of systematic literature reviews and economic modeling will be helpful. No prior knowledge or use of AI is required.
