ISPOR Embargo Policy

Contributed research presenters at ISPOR conferences who are issuing press releases relating to their contributed research presentation are required to abide by the following ISPOR Press Release Embargo Policy.

For Contributed Research Presentations at ISPOR Conferences:

Promotion of general topics, speakers, or presentation times is permitted and encouraged within the stated guidelines.

  • For press releases referring ONLY to information contained in the contributed research abstract, [ie, information limited to OBJECTIVES, METHODS, RESULTS, and CONCLUSIONS of the abstract], all information is embargoed until the abstract has been published to the ISPOR conference program on the ISPOR website; or to the ISPOR Presentations Database.
  • For press releases referring to information which go beyond that contained in the contributed research abstract [ie, OBJECTIVES, METHODS, RESULTS, and CONCLUSIONS of the abstract] such as additional analysis, commentary, or updated information from those individuals and companies involved in the study, the information is embargoed until it has been presented at the specific ISPOR conference to which it was submitted and accepted. Presented research abstracts will also be published in Value in Health or Value in Health Regional Issues after the conference.
