Abstract
Thank you for your thoughtful and comprehensive commentary on our recent work, “Achieving Patient-Centered Value/Health Technology Assessment: Recommendations From a Multistakeholder eDelphi Panel.” We greatly appreciate your recognition of the methodological rigor and the emphasis on embedding patient perspectives throughout the health technology assessment (HTA) process.
We share your view that the next critical step is translating these consensus recommendations into practice. Operationalizing patient-centered principles within diverse institutional and socioeconomic contexts—particularly in low- and middle-income countries—is both a challenge and an opportunity. We are encouraged to learn of the Philippine HTA Council effort to integrate ethical and societal considerations into its HTA manual. Your suggestions regarding standardized training, collaborative data-sharing, and context-sensitive value metrics resonate strongly. We welcome continued dialog and partnerships to support these efforts.
