From Model to Clinic: Practical Considerations for Applying the Chinese Diabetes Risk Score in Prediabetes Screening

Abstract

I hope this letter finds you well. I would like to express my appreciation for the recent publication, “Lifetime Cost-Effectiveness of Using the Chinese Diabetes Risk Score for Prediabetes Screening in China” published in Value in Health Regional Issues. The article provides valuable insights into the cost-effectiveness of using the Chinese Diabetes Risk Score (CDRS) for diabetes prevention and the management of related complications. After carefully reviewing the study, however, I have a few concerns regarding the reduced specificity, low adherence, and inherent limitations of the CDRS itself, which I would like to address.
