A Forward Agenda for Digital Health Technologies: Evidence That Works for Decisions

Abstract

Digital health technologies (DHTs) have increasingly become system-relevant components of healthcare delivery; yet, the term still masks considerable variation in definition and terminology. In practice, DHTs encompass remote monitoring and wearable sensing, telehealth and virtual care pathways, digital therapeutics, patient-facing platforms for self-management and navigation, and clinical decision support tools, including algorithmic systems that may incorporate artificial intelligence (AI).
