Abstract

We greatly appreciate the reader's interest in our research and their insightful comments. The following are our responses to the 3 comments:

First, we acknowledge that lowering the Chinese Diabetes Risk Score (CDRS) cutoff value to 24 reduces specificity and increases false-positives subjects, potentially triggering unnecessary oral glucose tolerance test (OGTTs). The model employed in our article, however, has accounted for OGTT-related costs beyond true-positive cases, with both direct and indirect costs incurred by false-positive individuals fully incorporated. Moreover, given that false-positive subjects undergo confirmatory OGTT within clinically minimal diagnostic delays, they will be aware of actual diabetes-negative status rapidly. Consequently, we posit that such highly transient psychological distress exerts negligible impact on lifetime quality-adjusted life-year estimations.
