Health technology assessment (HTA) is an essential tool for evaluating the clinical, economic, and social value of new medical technologies. This introductory course provides a comprehensive overview of HTA principles, methods, and terminology for academic researchers, clinicians, manufacturers, and policy makers. Using real-world examples from both drugs and devices, learners will explore how HTA reports are developed and applied across healthcare systems worldwide.

• Core elements of benefit assessment, including biostatistics, clinical epidemiology, and patient-relevant outcomes
• Economic evaluation methods such as costing, cost-effectiveness, and budget impact analysis
