As the field of Health Economics, Value and Access continues to evolve, the role of AI and advanced data analytics is becoming increasingly important. These technologies have the potential to transform the way we generate evidence, improve access to treatments, and evaluate improvements to healthcare.

Electronic health records, claims data, health technology and regulatory assessments, and patient-generated data are just a few examples of the vast amounts of healthcare data that AI could derive new insights from. These data can be used to identify patient subpopulations, better comprehend the burden of disease, and improve treatment strategies. AI in conjunction with advanced data analytics can assist in predicting the outcomes of various treatment alternatives, enhancing our capacity to assess the cost-efficiency of novel therapies, carry out comparative effectiveness research, and support more informed healthcare decision-making.

In this session, we demonstrate how the use of AI and machine learning has the potential to improve access to critical information for patients, clinicians, payers and other stakeholders as well as generate insights more efficiently than traditional research methods. This includes access to information about treatment options, clinical trial data, and information about the safety and efficacy of different treatments. By improving access to information, we can help to ensure that patients receive the best possible care, and that healthcare resources are used efficiently.
