OBJECTIVES: The incidence of ovarian cancer (OC) in Slovak Republic is about 600 new cases from 2 770 200 all women´s population. The objective of this study was to find out the level of quality of life (QoL), work ability (WA) and the level of correlation of other examined factors. METHODS: The own orginal combined questionnaire was used, which design allowed the retrospective evaluation of QoL and WA, too. Statistical methods from Excel 2010 (Student, Friedman, Dunn, Spearmann) were used. RESULTS: CONCLUSIONS: OC had a significant impact on patients´s QoL and AW. The strong correlation was found in the treatment impact and present AW. The mid correlation was found in oncology visits, information about disease, financial income, QoL of family members and with positive future expectations. The others parameter had no impact on QoL or only very low correlation.
