OBJECTIVES: Personalized medicines are becoming more required and more important in developed healthcare systems. The objective of our study was to assess medical students understanding and opinion on personalized medicines.

METHODS: We have conducted online survey among medical students at Sarajevo School of Science and Technology. Survey was adopted and validate by the authors based on available published papers. It was conducted as online self-administered questionnaire using google documents.

RESULTS: CONCLUSIONS: Participants demonstrated genuine interest in personalized medicine, and they also recognized their need to learn more about this particular subject. What we have noticed that there is a great need to conduct more surveys on national and regional levels to assess the level of awareness among both health professional and the general population in the Balkan region.
