OBJECTIVES: Obtaining a European Price (EP) in France is the guarantee for a product with a high to moderate Improvement of clinical Benefit (ASMR I-III) to get a price at least equal to the lowest price in the four bigger European markets (Italy, Germany, UK, Spain). The aim of this analysis was to determine in what conditions oncology products have access to EP. METHODS: Oncology products (solid tumors and haematooncology) with an ASMR I-III following first registration or label extension between 2015 and 2018 were included. Manufacturing prices of the five countries were collected on the international database IHS Markit. RESULTS: CONCLUSIONS: EP is a key measure to give French patients access to innovating medicines. Methodology used by French payor authority could be identified with a trend to align French price on German negotiated one but not necessarily on the lowest price. Despite a long median time to price publication added to an access incrementally regulated, EP was attributed to the majority of oncology products commercialized in France between 2015 and 2018.
