ECONOMIC BURDEN OF MIGRAINE IN BRAZIL- RESULTS FROM MY MIGRAINE VOICE SURVEY

OBJECTIVES: To assess the economic burden of migraine from Brazilian patient’s point of view. METHODS: This was a cross-sectional, multinational study conducted in 31 countries, including Brazil. Adult patients aged >18 years old with at least ≥ 4 migraine days each month in the last three months were selected to participate in a survey conducted primarily online between September 2017 to February 2018.Patients were asked to respond to specific questions on health resource utilization and on how migraine affected their professional lives. Work productivity was also assessed by using the Work Productivity and Activity Impairment General Health Questionnaire (WPAI-GH). RESULTS: CONCLUSIONS: Migraine negatively affects the work productivity and represents a substantial economic burden for individuals in Brazil.
