OBJECTIVES: Anemia is a common complication in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Anemia (FACT-An), which measures health-related quality of life and anemia symptoms in cancer patients, has been used as an outcome measure in CKD trials.
