OBJECTIVES: Electronic Clinical Outcome Assessment (eCOA) tools are rapidly being adapted. Electronic Patient-Reported Outcomes (ePRO) have seen more adoption than Electronic Clinician-Reported Outcomes (eClinRo.) In some cases, eClinRo tools present unique challenges compared to ePRO. Obstacles to effective implementation include poorly functioning electronic tools and interfaces. “User Experience” is a term used to characterize the overall experience of a person using a computer application, especially in terms of how easy it is to use. This poster describes a process for implementing a formal User Experience design process with clinicians. METHODS: A prospective user focus group of clinical trialists who have used eCOA tools in past clinical trials was identified. These clinical trialists included investigators, clinicians, and study coordinators. One-on-one sessions were conducted with a panel that included a clinician and a user experience researcher observing an untrained trialist utilize an eCOA tool. Feedback was collected regarding the challenges in using the tool. RESULTS:
