OBJECTIVES : In the past few years economic-migration and career changing have become more common issues among healthcare practitioners. The aim of our investigation is to assess the measures of the above-mentioned attitudes among the Hungarian healthcare workers and to present the influencing factors.

METHODS : In our research, a self-edited questionnaire and a valid Effort-Reward Imbalance (ERI) questionnaire were used. The study sample consisted of 821 persons (nurses, physiotherapist, midwives, dietitians and district nurses). The statistical analysis was conducted with SPSS 20.0 software.

RESULTS : CONCLUSIONS : The above-mentioned attitudes among the participants have several causes. To reduce the disadvantageous factors systemic intervention would have needed which probably takes a long time. The optimization of the healthcare practitioners’ working conditions is a political and social interest which could provide a long-term, high-class attendance.
