OBJECTIVES Secondary infertility is a frequent complication of the combined dyshormonal pathology of reproductive system in women with a history of reproductive loss (spontaneous abortions, very early preterm births). The aim of the study was to evaluate the efficacy of two treatment complexes in this category of patients differing in the treatment of chronic endometritis.

METHODS This double-blind clinical trial was carried out in 130 women with verified combined dyshormonal diseases of reproductive organs and chronic endometritis at the Lviv Regional Center for Reproductive Health. The exclusion criteria were tubal and male infertility factors. Women were randomly divided into two groups. Patients in group I (60) were given only hormonal therapy with induction of ovulation, group II (70) - underwent complex anti-inflammatory and hormonal correction of chronic endometritis at first stage, and in second stage - induction of ovulation. Duration, cost and frequency of pregnancy within 6 months without ART were evaluated.

RESULTS. There was no difference between two groups for demographic or descriptive variables. The average age of women was 33.5 ± 3.2 years. The cost of general course of therapy between the groups differed insignificantly (p>0.05). The frequency of pregnancy and gestation up to 37 weeks in I group was 31.7%, in ІІ group - 55.7% (p <0.05).
