BURDEN OF DISEASE OF ACUTE MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION IN HUNGARY

OBJECTIVES : The aim of our study is to analyse the burden of health care costs of acute myocardial infarction.

METHODS : Data derive from the financial database of the National Health Insurance Fund Administration (NHIFA). Cases marked with ICD code I21 were selected. We conducted a descriptive analysis, measuring the number of patients, cases and the financial indicators of out- and acute inpatient care. In During this survey, we examined the costs of the national insurance fund spent on treating in- and outpatients. Futhermore the study intended to measure amounts spent on medication by the NHIFA. The year 2016 was analyzed.

RESULTS : CONCLUSIONS : Our analyses are about health insurance spending for supply of acut myocardialis infarctus financing by the NHIFA. Our recommendations according to these researches are to focus better on primer prevention to prevent diseases.
