OBJECTIVES: HCV infection caused 1,2 million DALY in 2002 in Europe and 200 104 YLDs. 1% of these YLDs resulted from HCV-related hepatocellular carcinoma. The objective of the present study is to calculate the DALY for patients with HCV-related HCC in Bulgaria.
