OBJECTIVES: Dossiers for German benefit assessments on drugs require epidemiological data. The number of statutory health insured patients in the target population is needed; basically the claimed number of patients with added benefit. This number is presented by pharmaceutical companies, evaluated/adapted during assessment and then included in G-BAs final decisions. The aim of this study is to compare the epidemiological data presented by companies and G-BA in order to assess deviations overall, by year and by therapeutic area. Time trends, susceptible therapeutic areas and possible reasons may be delineated. METHODS: All relevant documents were retrieved from the G-BA homepage (https://www.g-ba.de/informationen/nutzenbewertung/). Cut-off date for assessment inclusion was May 15thRESULTS: CONCLUSIONS: Epidemiological data presented by pharmaceutical companies and G-BA differs considerably. A learning curve from 2011 to 2014 is not clearly visible. Susceptible therapeutic areas with high deviations are infectious diseases, metabolic diseases and oncology. The poster will discuss possible reasons, including data sources.
