ABSTRACT WITHDRAWN

OBJECTIVES: In China a large number of diabetic patients choose to seek medical treatment in primary medical institutions including county-level hospitals. This is a cross-sectional data analysis of diabetic patients treated in a county-level hospital during 2019-2021.

METHODS: Through EMR system of Yongcheng Central Hospital, we extracted data of all patients with diabetes diagnosis from October 2019 to November 2021.Patient demographics, random blood glucose levels, glycemic control rate, and treatment regimens analysis was performed.

RESULTS: 4360 patients was included in the study. The mean age is 63.6 years. 53.42% of the patients are male whereas 46.56% are female. Among the patients, the mean systolic blood pressure (SBP) level is 126.49 mmHg, the mean diastolic blood pressure level (DBP) is 78.63 mmHg. The average random blood glucose level and the glycated hemoglobin are 7.75 and 7.58, respectively. The control rate of random blood glucose was 87.46%, while HbA1c control rate was 37.43% when the patient went to the doctors. 49.60% of the patients took medicines in their visiting, and the remaining 50.40% of the patients only had a medical consultation.

CONCLUSION: The HbA1c of many diabetic patients in the county is still not well controlled, and some patients did not receive standard drug treatment when they seek treatment in county hospital.
