Objectives: This work attempts to analyze publication trends and citation analysis of articles published in Value in Health from 1998 to 2019. Citation analysis is only for the last 15 years as only 15 years citations can be downloaded from Scopus.

Methods: Data on publications in Value in Health from 1998 to 2019 were extracted from Scopus. The title “Value in Health” was searched using source title search on Scopus. Two results, Value in Health and Value in Health Regional Issues were found. From the search results, Value in Health was selected for further analysis of search results. The search results were updated till May 03, 2019.

Results: A total of 2421 articles are published between 1998 to 2019; 2269 were open access and 188 were others. The least and highest number of articles were published in 1999 (17) and 2009 (210) respectively. Publications saw upward trend after 2006. Highest number of articles are published by authors from US (1154), followed by UK (689) and Netherlands (275). The top categories of publications were Articles (1951) followed by conference papers (113) and Editorial (107). Highest articles were published by University of York (117), University of Sheffield (111) and Pfizer (97). Top authors with highest publication include Drummond M (33), Cella, D (31), Neumann P J (28). Highest citations received for an article published in ViH is 1340 for an article published by Wild D et al in 2005, which is followed by 1039, 758, 558 500 citations respectively in descending order for articles published in 2008, 2003, 2013 and 2011 respectively. The total h-index of the journal is 92.

Conclusion: The papers published in Value in Health over the years have increased and the highest publications are articles, which saw an upward trend after 2006 and achieved an h-index of 92.
