ISPOR—The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research announced today the results of its recent elections. The Society’s membership selected its new president-elect and 3 new board members.

ISPOR—The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) announced that it has published a new report on its work in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

Value in Health, the official journal of ISPOR, announced the publication of an ISPOR Good Practices Report providing recommendations for assessing the need to demonstrate comparability among ways to collect patient responses (eg, using a tablet or smartphone app versus paper) about their symptoms in research studies.

Value in Health, the official journal of ISPOR, published an editorial celebrating its 25th anniversary as the Society’s flagship HEOR journal. The article, “25 Years of Health Economics and Outcomes Research: An Exploration of Value in Health,” appears in the May 2023 issue of Value in Health.

ISPOR announced that its 2022 annual report has been published. This year’s report highlights how the Society has successfully moved through and beyond the pandemic and returned to in-person events as it advances its mission to improve healthcare decisions.

ISPOR announced its ISPOR Real-World Evidence Summit 2023 scheduled for May 7 in Boston, MA, USA. The Summit is collocated with and being held immediately prior to the Society’s annual international conference, ISPOR 2023.

Value in Health, the official journal of ISPOR, announced the publication of new good practice guidelines for the design, conduct, analysis, and communication of quantitative benefit-risk assessments (qBRA) to support regulatory decision making of medical products.

ISPOR announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Rob Abbott as the Society’s new CEO and executive director after an extensive search process. Mr Abbott is assuming the role of ISPOR’s CEO today, succeeding Nancy S. Berg who is retiring.

Value in Health, the official journal of ISPOR, announced the publication of a series of articles describing important new research related to drug pricing globally. The series was published in the March 2023 issue of the journal.
