ISSUE: The medical device market is growing faster than the pharmaceutical one. A large and growing middle class in Latin American has been identified as a key emerging market. Ensuring access to medical technology associated with the highest value for money however is a priority for a broad range of stakeholders (e.g. regulators, HTA assessors, healthcare providers, payers and patients) across the healthcare ecosystem.
OVERVIEW: During the session a group of stakeholders will reflect on what makes a medical valuable for them. Panelist will describe their definition of value for medical devices, their views on what drives or should drive the adoption of innovative medical devices, and how these technologies should be assessed.
