The status of the pandemic and associated governmental regulations, restrictions, and advisories has also necessarily required ISPOR to effect changes to a number of its conferences. The following summarizes the current status of ISPOR’s conferences and educational events for 2021.
Virtual ISPOR 2021 | May 17-20
ISPOR 2021—the Society’s annual, international conference—has been designed as a fully virtual conference. Virtual ISPOR 2021, themed “HEOR: Evolving for Tomorrow’s Challenges,” is the leading global conference for health economics and outcomes research. The conference provides registrants with new, on demand-only content that will be released leading up to the conference, 4-days of live programming, a virtual exhibit gallery, virtual poster presentations, networking opportunities, and access to post-conference recordings for a full month after the event.
Signal Series | Various Dates
ISPOR’s new signature program—Signal— looks beyond today’s linear thinking to explore topics that will shape healthcare decision making over the next decade. Seeking to strengthen strategic foresight and adaptive leadership capacities in the complex world of healthcare, the Signal series focuses on the “big picture,” while also addressing how health economics and outcomes research can best contribute to solving healthcare’s greatest challenges. Signal episodes are scheduled throughout the year and feature conversations with speakers who are innovative thought leaders and change makers in both healthcare and other sectors of economy, science disciplines, and areas of human inquiry that can impact healthcare.

ISPOR Summit 2021—“Value Assessment: New Insights, Approaches, and Applications” — will highlight evolving practices, new methods, and practical applications in value assessment.
Virtual ISPOR Europe 2021 | 1-3 December
ISPOR Europe 2021, the leading European conference for HEOR, is planned for 1-3 December as a virtual conference. Virtual ISPOR Europe 2021 will offer on demand-only content that will be released leading up to the conference, 3-days of live programming, a virtual exhibit gallery, virtual poster presentations, networking opportunities, and access to post-conference recordings for a full month after the event. If it is safe to do so (considering the status of the pandemic), in-person sessions will be added to the conference. Announcements regarding possible in-person sessions will be made once determined later this year.
Virtual Short Courses | Various Dates
The ISPOR Short Course Program is being offered virtually with courses scheduled throughout the year and at times suitable for a variety of time zones to optimize participation for global audiences. The Society’s virtual HEOR short courses provide the same high-quality curriculum that has historically been offered at its in-person conferences through an interactive, virtual experience. Virtual short courses make ISPOR’s renown Short Course Program available to even more HEOR professionals around the globe.
