ISPOR ANNOUNCES NEW HTA TRAINING PROGRAM

TO BE HELD 26-29 JUNE 2016 IN LISBON, PORTUGAL 

Princeton, NJ—April 4, 2016—The International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) announced its next Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Training Program will be held in Lisbon, Portugal from 26-29 June 2016. ISPOR is the leading global scientific and educational organization for health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) and its use in decision making to improve health. The ISPOR HTA Training Program was developed in response to requests from members and HEOR thought leaders regarding the significant worldwide need for education and training in this multidisciplinary field. The ISPOR HTA Training Program is a modular course that is offered globally and customized to meet the needs of different stakeholders and regions. The program is intended for anyone involved in health care decision making, including individuals working in Ministries of Health, health insurance funds, evolving and established HTA bodies, public and private payers, industry, health plans, academia, and patient group representatives. Instructors for this ISPOR HTA Training Program include: -  Finn Børlum Kristensen, MD, PhD Chairman of the Executive Committee of the European Network for Health Technology Assessment (EUnetHTA); Director of its Coordinating Secretariat, Danish Health and Medicines Authority (DHMA), Denmark; and Adjunct Professor in Health Services Research and Health Technology Assessment at University of Southern Denmark -   Mirjana Huić, MD, MSc, PhD Assistant Director at the Croatian Agency for Quality and Accreditation in Health Care and Social Welfare and Head of Department for Development, Research, and HTA -  Don Husereau, MSc, BSc Senior Associate with the Institute of Health Economics; Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the University of Ottawa; and Senior Scientist at the University for Health Sciences, Medical Informatics and Technology in Hall in Tirol, Austria -  Zoltán Kaló, MSc, MD, PhD Professor of Health Economics in the Department of Health Policy and Health Economics at Eötvös Loránd University and Founder and CEO of Syreon Research Institute in Budapest, Hungary Additional information and registration for the ISPOR HTA Training Program can be found here.
