OBJECTIVES

: Our main objective was to evaluate treatment, overall satisfaction, psycho-social events experience of patients and their parents during the hospital stay and after discharge.

METHODS

: We designed our own questionnaire and used prospective approach to collect data, 3 sections with a total of 10 questions were included in the questionnaire. The patient above 5 years of age and with a hospital stay of 2 days was included in the study. Patients from respiratory disease were included only. The time frame was of one year from January 2017 till January 2018. Questions were asked from patients and parents and were then averaged to give proper outcomes.

CONCLUSIONS

: Our hospital set up in Pakistan needs a lot of improvements. Patient's overall were unsatisfied with the facility they were provided. There has been a weakness in patient and their parent's counseling for medications use. Healthcare staff is in need of proper guidelines and training on patient counseling and their behavior approach towards patients. The government should decrease the prices of medications and should run health awareness campaign to increase awareness among people regarding health.
