RATE OF HYPOGLYCEMIC EVENTS IN PATIENTS USING BASAL INSULIN ANALOGUES- A REAL WORLD ANALYSIS OF FOUR GRADE III CLASS A HOSPITALS IN CHINA

OBJECTIVES: To analyze the rate of hypoglycemic events in patients using basal insulin analogues in China. METHODS: Retrospective electronic health record data from 4 Grade III Class A hospitals in China from January 2012 to May 2017 was used. Including criteria were patients of type 1 and type 2 diabetes treated with basal insulin analogues, including Hypoglycemia was identified with glycemic value (≤3.9 mmol/L; <2.8 mmol/L and requiring assistance of another person for severe hypoglycemia) supplemented with Chinese descriptions. RESULTS: P<0.05), based on comparison between IDet and IGlar, and comparison between IDet and rIGlar. CONCLUSIONS: Hypoglycemic events in patients treated with basal insulin analogues in China was common. There were differences in rate of hypoglycemic events depending on the basal insulin analogue used, with lowest hypoglycemic risk with IDet.
