SITUATION AND IMPACT OF INSULIN PEN NEEDLE REUSE FOR PATIENTS WITH DIABETES IN CHINA

OBJECTIVES: The aim of the survey was to investigate the frequency of insulin pen needle reuse, and analyze the impact of needles reuse on insulin-treated diabetes patients in China. METHODS: A semi-constructed questionnaire-based survey was conducted in 21 hospitals (7 class III hospitals, 10 class II hospitals and 4 class I hospitals) to investigate the situation of diabetes patients in Beijing, China. Patients treated with insulin for more than six months were included in the study. RESULTS:
