OBJECTIVES: The objective of study is to identify patient/out of pocket costs for an incident of T.B .The measurements use to identify burden of TB on patient in Quetta, Baluchistan, Pakistan. METHODS: Cross sectional study was performed on TB patient in Fatima Jinnah chest hospital Quetta. The TB patients who were registered in hospital were interviewed to determine the cost of TB in patients by standardized data collection tool the filled cost of illness questionnaire was analyzed by producing descriptive statistics.  RESULTS: Most of the TB patient were from 30-60 year Old, the no. of females were more (62%), rural residents were 36 (51.4%) and (94.3%) patients monthly income were 8000 15000. In addition, the others results including average test cost were 199 rupees, x-ray cost were 293, drug cost were 697 rupees , travel cost 192 rupees food cost were 765 rupees,  accommodation cost were 98 rupees & the other cost were 98 rupees. CONCLUSIONS: The TB patient & their families face major expenses due to TB care. This shows that these costs are fatal for TB patients and as well as their households. However, only free anti TB drugs and services are enough for reducing the cost burden, but there must urgently be needed to apply relief programmers for TB patients in order to minimize the cost burden of TB on TB patient in Quetta
