DESCRIPTION: The current ISPOR Code of Ethics is underutilized and outdated, lacking coverage of important topics such as reproducing research results and interactions with patients. Last revised in 2008, it predates changes in data availability and the research landscape. In addition, ISPOR has since grown in membership and geographic reach, with potentially greater policy influence globally in the future. This potential could be undermined by perceptions of bias or other ethical issues surrounding the conduct of HEOR.
