USE OF A CLAIMS DATABASE TO DOCUMENT THE USE AND EFFECTIVENESS OF ORAL VINORELBINE (NVBO) IN A REAL WORLD SETTING FRANCE

OBJECTIVES: NVBO is an oral chemotherapy indicated in the treatment of non-small cell lung (NSCLC) and advanced breast cancer (ABC). The aim of this analysis was to describe the use of NVBO and its effectiveness in real life setting as compared to results from clinical trials, in France. METHODS: The EGB claims database is a 1/97 representative random sample of the 3 main French public health insurance beneficiaries (600,000 individuals) containing all items of medical consumption, diagnosis in case of full coverage or hospitalization and mortality. All patients with at least a NVBO delivery over the period 2010-2013 were selected. Index date was first NVBO delivery and patients were followed up until last NVBO delivery or death. Analyses were descriptive, by indication, with a focus on persistence and overall survival (OS). RESULTS:
