Return to In-Person Events Is Highlighted in New Report

LMIC Report CoverLawrenceville, NJ, USA—May 25, 2023—ISPOR—The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research announced that its 2022 annual report has been published. This year’s report highlights how the Society has successfully moved through and beyond the pandemic and returned to in-person events as it advances its mission to improve healthcare decisions. During 2022 the Society:

  • Returned to in-person events with its 2 highly successful annual conferences—ISPOR 2022 and ISPOR Europe 2022
  • Organized and held a Asia Pacific Summit, Payer Summit, 5 Health Technology Assessment Roundtables, 3 Patient Engagement Roundtables, 51 short courses, and 39 webinars
  • Published 10 new ISPOR Reports in Value in Health, 4 of which were Good Practices Reports)
    • This included the update of the Society’s most downloaded report, “Consolidated Health Economic Evaluation Reporting Standards 2022,” also known as “CHEERS 2022
  • Grew membership to 19,000 individual and chapter members representing 111 countries across the globe
  • Released a number of new content offerings, including the ISPOR 2022-2023 Top 10 HEOR Trends Report, About Real-World Evidence website content, and the HEOR News Desk microsite
  • Responded to 13 calls for comment that included responses to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), EUnetHTA, National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), and the European Medicines Agency (EMA)
  • Announced plans for ISPOR’s CEO and Executive Director for the past 8 years, Nancy S. Berg, to retire
