ISPOR Announces 2026-2027 Board of Directors

Dr Beth Devine Assumes Role of President

Lawrenceville, NJ, USA—May 26, 2026—ISPOR—The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research announced its 2026-2027 board of directors. The 2026-2027 board will take office on July 1 and includes the following members.

Beth Devine, PhD, PharmD, MBA, MSc—President
Dr Devine will assume the role of 2026-2027 president after serving as ISPOR’s president-elect over the past year. She is professor emerita at the Comparative Health Outcomes, Policy, and Economics (CHOICE) Institute, School of Pharmacy, University of Washington in Seattle, WA, USA. She is currently a visiting professor at the University of Bristol, England, UK. In September 2026, Dr Devine will begin serving as head of department and professor of evidence synthesis at the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination at the University of York in York, England, UK.

Uwe Siebert, MPH, MSc, ScD—President
Dr Siebert moves into the role of immediate past president having served as president for the 2026-2027 term. He is professor of Public Health, Medical Decision Making, and Health Technology Assessment (HTA), and chair of the Department of Public Health, Health Services Research, and HTA at UMIT TIROL - University for Health Sciences and Technology in Austria. He is also adjunct professor of Epidemiology and Health Policy and Management at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health and affiliated with the Institute for Technology Assessment at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, USA.

Lotte Steuten, PhD, MSc—President-Elect
Dr Steuten has been appointed to the role of president-elect for the 2026-2027 term. She is a health economist by training and currently serves as deputy chief executive at the Office of Health Economics. Dr Steuten is also a visiting honorary professor at City University of London.

Jens Grueger, PhD—Treasurer
Dr Grueger has been appointed to the role of treasurer. He is an affiliate professor at the University of Washington and a senior advisor at both Boston Consulting Group and Curta. He is also a past president of ISPOR.

Sandra Nestler-Parr, MSc, MPhil, PhD—Director
Dr Nestler-Parr is senior vice president in Value & Patient Access at BioCryst Pharmaceuticals in Durham, North Carolina, USA.

William Padula, PhD—Director
Dr Padula is associate professor at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Jing Wu, PhD—Director
Dr Wu is chair of the Pharmacoeconomics Professional Committee at the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association in Beijing, China.

Returning board members include:

Elisabeth Fenwick, PhD, MSc—Director
Dr Fenwick is chief science officer at Open Health Group in London, England, UK.

Ramiro Gilardino, MD, MSc—Director
Dr Gilardino is a healthcare executive based in Zurich, Switzerland.

Daniel Ollendorf, PhD—Director
Dr Ollendorf is the chief scientific officer and director of health technology assessment methods and engagement at the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Katja Rudell, PhD—Director
Dr Rudell is vice president of Patient Centered Outcomes at Kielo Research in Cambridge, England, UK.

Rob Abbott—Chief Executive Officer
Mr Abbott is chief executive officer at ISPOR—The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, USA.
