Institute To Bridge the Gap Between Health Economics and Outcomes Research and Its Real-World Application

Lawrenceville, NJ, USA—November 10, 2025—ISPOR—The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) announced the launch of its new ISPOR Institute for Healthcare Transformation.

Healthcare systems across the globe are challenged by myriad crises, including budget constraints, paying for innovative new therapies, aging populations, workforce challenges, and global catastrophes that include war and climate change. The ISPOR Institute for Healthcare Transformation is an organic extension of ISPOR that bridges the gap between research and real-world application to further elevate the relevance, use, and impact of HEOR. By taking practical steps to inform and support global health policy and decision making across various sectors, the Institute’s goal is to transform healthcare and its impacts on patients, families, and communities.

“ISPOR is very excited to announce the formation of the ISPOR Institute for Healthcare Transformation as its early work begins,” stated ISPOR’s CEO Rob Abbott. “We firmly believe that HEOR is the factor that can truly make a difference in transforming healthcare systems around the globe. We also see the Institute as a key lever to support ISPOR’s vision of a world where healthcare is accessible, effective, efficient, and affordable for all.”
