Monica Hernandez, BSc, MSc, PhD, is an econometrician and health economist with extensive experience in developing complex statistical and econometric models. She has worked extensively on measurement error and latent variable modelling, and the analysis of observational data. On the latter area of research, she has been an author of two technical Support Documents providing guidance and future research recommendations on the use of observational data for submissions to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). Recently, her research has focused on investigating the properties and policy use of EQ-5D, leading to the development of new methods for analyzing and mapping preference based measures.
