The science of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) has significantly evolved, expanding beyond traditional clinical and economic data to include broader evidence considerations such as patient perspectives, equity, environment, and ethics. This plenary session will delve into the transformation of HTA, internationally and through a Canadian lens, examining key topics such as RWD/RWE, implementing expanded definitions of value and taking a whole health approach to HTA. It will bring together diverse perspectives from HTA, academia, patients, and payers to discuss the current state and direction of travel to future-proof HTA in ever changing health systems.
