Rasmus is the Regional Adviser and head of Access to Medicines and Health Products at the WHO Regional Office for Europe based in Copenhagen, Denmark. His unit is responsible for technical support and policy advice to the Member States for the entire ecosystem of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and other health products - from research, production, quality, and regulation to pricing & reimbursement, evaluation/HTA, selection, procurement, distribution, and rational use. The overarching objective of the unit is to ensure access to safe, efficacious, and affordable products.  The WHO Access team is also the host of the Novel Medicines Platform (NMP). Rasmus holds a MSc Pharmacy (Denmark) and MSc Health Policy, Planning and Financing (UK), and has over the past two decades worked internationally within health economics, access, regulation, and policy issues at both WHO as well as in the medtech and pharmaceutical industry.
