Linus Jönsson is the Vice President of Medical Outcomes Research at H. Lundbeck A/S in Valby, Denmark and an affiliated researcher at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. Dr. Jönsson earned his MD at Uppsala University in 2000, his MSc in Economics and Business Administration at the Stockholm School of Economics in 2001, and his PhD in Health Economics at the Karolinska Institute in 2003. He obtained a Swedish Medical License in 2004. Dr. Jönsson co-founded European Health Economics, an international consultancy in health economics and outcomes research, which was acquired by UnitedHealth Group in 2007. Following the acquisition, He managed the European operations of the company (now renamed Optum) prior to joining H. Lundbeck in May 2014. Dr. Jönsson is a member of the EFPIA task force on Health Technology Assessment and his research interests include economic evaluation of innovative therapies with specific focus on central nervous system disorders. He has authored approximately 80 peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters.
