Surgeon graduated from the UNAM School of Medicine as a Specializing in General Surgery from the HECMN SXXI IMSS, and in Trauma Surgery from the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami Florida with a Sub specialization in Colon and Rectal Surgery from the HRLALM of the ISSSTE.
Master of Science from UNAM, Master of Administration from La Salle University, Doctor of Science from Miller School of Medicine and Doctor of Health Economics from York University.
He has more than 25 years of experience in the health sector, participating in the IMSS, ISSSTE Government of Mexico City, Sub-Director of Health Services of Petróleos Mexicanos and currently he serves in the General Health Council in Mexico.
Author of more than 57 articles published in national and international magazines, 17 book chapters and 3 books. Advisor to 48 postgraduate theses.
Full member of various associations such as the Mexican Academy of Surgery, twice winner of the Gabino Barreda medal by UNAM and currently Latin America Executive Chair for ISPOR.
